Getting to Athens
By Air
Athens International Airport (ATH) "Eleftherios Venizelos" is located 33km east of the city center. It's well-connected with direct flights from major cities worldwide. Transfer options include metro (Line 3), express bus (X95/X96), and taxi (flat rate ~EUR40-55).
By Sea
Piraeus is one of the largest ports in Europe, connecting Athens to the Greek islands. Ferries arrive from Crete, the Cyclades, Dodecanese, and other island groups. The port is connected to central Athens via Metro Line 1.
By Land
Athens is accessible by bus from other European countries and Greek cities. The main bus station (KTEL) serves intercity routes. Train connections (via Thessaloniki) link Athens to Northern Greece and the Balkans.
